FOREWORD FROM THE AUTHOR

I describe myself as a Muslim Activist, but more on the transformational context. I hate war or any form of violent act done against my person, loved ones, friends and helpless people by those who use their political power for terrorism. I write for peace and I shall always initiate any form of positive transformation in my own social, cultural and political milieu.

Ako po ay isang manunulat ng katotohanan at kapayapaan. Hangad ko po na maiugnay ang aking diwa sa positibong pamamaraan. Salam. Sumainyo ang kapayapaan. Ako po ay isang Prinsesang Mulat at manunulat ukol sa kapayapaan. Isa po akong boluntaryong  kasapi ng lahat ng gawain na ang layunin ay magpapahilom ng sugat ng isang katauhan at kalikasan.

Princess Maleiha is a focused writer who espouses justice, peace and interfaith unity in the midst of the decaying moral and cultural fibers of many people owing to political vindictiveness, power struggle and hypocritical pro-poor concerns masking vested interest and self- promotion.

She used to edit and publish her own community paper,"The New Mindanao Kris", from 1997 to 2001. At the height of the 2000 Mindanao war, she allied with her fellow journalists to call for peace.

Known to be feisty in her writings, she is also very straightforward in person. She says what is on her mind without fear or favor.

She does not fear powerful personalities but she obliges herself to respond positively 
to humble actions. She is just an ordinary lady with simple dreams but she knows where she stands and how to fight for her rights.

Ander ka daw?
masama ba?
Tao nga naman
Makitid ang isip!
Masunurin na asawa
Akala kinakawawa


Mapagmahal sila
Maingat sa salita
Mapag-arugang kilos
Tanda ng respeto
Sa asawang mahal

Totoong lalaki
ang mapagkumbaba
Mahinahon sa kilos
Pino at hindi gasgas
Iniaalay ang puso
sa asawang giliw
sunod-sunuran man
tanda ng pagmamahal
